Suzanne Lord was born in Montreal in 1963. Particularly gifted at drawing from her early childhood, she devoted herself mainly to portraiture and animal reproduction. Initially destined for a career as a figurative artist, she never would have thought she would one day be passionate about abstract art.

The paths that led her in this direction are numerous: university training in art, various workshops with artists such as: Sylvie Cloutier, Serge Babeux, Chantal Deserres, Seymour Segal, Tania Lebedeff, etc. Passionate about travel and photography, the landscapes with which she fills her eyes are spiritual nourishment, and she is literally in love with the ocean.

Since 2008, she has been traveling regularly to the Hawaiian islands, which she fell madly in love with from the very first day. The immensity of the ocean, the waves breaking on the volcanic rocks are an infinite source of inspiration that transposes itself through her works: aquatic movements, sometimes torrential, fertile waves: a journey is undertaken, traced, traversed, and flooded with colors.

Three trips to Nepal (2018, 2020, and 2025) have also changed her vision as well as the expression transmitted through her works in recent years. Her ultimate goal is to transmit visual energy in order to reach and stimulate the observer's spirit and invite them to take part in her journeys of introspection and sensitivity.

The journey traveled as an artist is closely linked to Suzanne Lord's spiritual and personal journey. Her life expresses itself through her works without her having to interfere, just letting herself be guided.

When she finds herself in this space that she calls her studio, she enters the temple of creativity, without limits, without judgment, without desire to perform, just her eyes in contact with the colors, letting them guide her hand where they wish, without her (ego) but with what dwells within her and is greater than her...
